Working Girl - Photo Shoot

The unthinkable has finally happened.  Mr. A and I both have full-time jobs.
When did we become such grown-ups?
I still wear "South Park" pajama pants and football jerseys to bed.
I trip over my own feet in the office and fall into walls, desks, and chairs.
I sing along to the Spice Girls and Britney Spears in my car.
There are some days I don't want to wear real pants; I just want to wear boys' basketball shorts.
It's important to keep that youthfulness whenever possible.  Be professional when necessary.  Have fun always.

This is one of my favorite places to go in St. Louis.  If you are ever in the area, visit Tower Grove Park.  It's beautiful.

Since I got my first full-time job, I thought it was appropriate that I celebrate the best way I know how -- by shopping, of course!  I bought this top from Ann Taylor Loft last weekend along with a bright pink pencil skirt.  Ann Taylor is a great place for petite girls to shop.  This weekend, I went to Nordstrom and bought two more blazers (blazer love, hollllaaaa!) and an electric blue skirt from Macy's.

The weather at this time of year is my favorite.  There is a bit of chill in the air.  The sky is slightly overcast.  I don't sweat when I am outside.  If I could move my desk and computer outside into the Quad for work, I would -- but keep the bees away from me.

There is nothing quite like pulling to the side of a busy road to take pictures in front of large groups of people.

We also went shopping at the Disney Store.  The cashier asked us if we wanted gift receipts with our purchase.  I responded, "No, we don't need receipts.  These stuffed animals are for us." And I was serious.  We bought a stuffed vintage Mickey Mouse and a stuffed Lotso from "Toy Story 3."

  7. Yes yes yes to your philosophy. We need to hang onto a youthful attitude or else we grow "old". It's possible to be as old as a dinosaur (like me) and still retain a young attitude. It's just the choice you make.

Cute outfit! Bright colors flatter you.

Naww it doesn't need to make you too grown up. A workd should never change you as a person unless it's a change that you want. Becoming more stiff is deffo not one ;)

  32. I love that you're staying youthful in attitude despite both getting jobs and being "grown ups". Kudos on posing for the fashion photos in front of large groups of people (I'm imagining you doing that in boys' basketball shorts. On a similar subject I finally did another (unsatisfactory) briefs post on the 2012 Utah Undie Run.

The polka dot top from Ann Taylor Loft looks nice with the bright red slacks - I like the shiny appearance of them, but I'll bet that top looks great with the bright pink pencil skirt from Ann Taylor or with the electric blue skirt from Macy's too. Love your Twitter, @GlamKitten88 + hope your not too mad at me (you're not following at the moment?). Sorry to see your Chicago Bears get such bad calls from the refs (that 12 men on the field was bullsh*t) and then the interception disappointment. Guess the cheeseheads loved it.

    Love the outfit post :)
