Alice + Olivia + MrGlamKitten

Twitter has just gotten a lot more fun.
Mr. A has entered the Twitter-verse.  This means that I can tag him in all of my fun, mean, hilarious tweets that I inflict upon the world.  He isn't online very often, but when he is ... Well, I apologize.  The best part of this is his Twitter handle: @MrGlamKitten.
I came up with it.

I love Alice + Olivia.  Everything they design, I want to own. 
Alert: Fun pants ahead.

Crosby Floral Crochet Fringe Top and Striped Bell Pants

As pretty as the fringe top is, my eye was immediately drawn to the candy-striped pants.  How fun are these for spring?  Normally, bell-bottoms can go either way, but the bell enhances the playfulness of the striping.

Briar Pleated Bell-Sleeve Top and High-Waist Pants

The bell-sleeved top brings a nice splash of color to contrast with the black and white striped pants.  I'm a big believer in adding some color to an otherwise neutral outfit.  As excited as I was buying black pinstriped pants this weekend, those are nothing compared to these obnoxiously striped pants that I absolutely must own.

Wade Belted Maxi Dress

Can you tell that stripes are totally in for spring?  This maxi dress is just the way to perk yourself up after a long winter.  The bright blue belt is a perfect complement to the fun skirt, and we all know that strategically placed belts can enhance your curve action.  Plus, it's just pretty.

Tory Peplum Dress

Everybody and their mother (well, the mothers who blog) seems to be reporting on the hotness of peplum.  I really like the peplum trend, but I can almost guarantee that you will never see me wear it.  One reason is that the peplum is way too close to a full-on ruffle, and I don't wear ruffles.  Ruffles are way too girly for me.  Another reason is that I have a very long torso and very short legs, and peplum seems to make my legs appear even shorter.  Still, I really like this trend -- on other people.  Not me.

  5. You can fake a peplum by wearing a longer/tunic top under a cropped cardigan... I did this yesterday. It'd didn't exactly ruffle but I love ruffles!

  14. I really like the tops in the first two photos: The Crosby Floral Crotchet Fringe Top and the Briar Pleated Bell Sleeve Top both have the very feminine look I love. I can imagine myself modeling the Crosby top if it comes in either 1X or 2X and I love the lemon yellow colour of thr Briar top. Both pairs of striped bell-bottom pants remind me of the pair I used to wear when I was in a band 4 decades ago. You would have loved them. The coloured stripes were even more outrageous! Congrats to MrGlamKitten on his new Twitter name!

  80. haha so true everybody is B-A-N-A-N-A-S over peplum this season. I don`t know how I feel about peplum skirts and dresses, i feel like I was rocking that 2-3 years ago when bubble skirts were also huge. But I can definitely find myself molesting some hot peplum jackets and blazers lol
