Hanging out at Smokey Bones (a BBQ place) on Saturday night, I ordered a 14-ounce steak -- of course. It was destroyed.
The Missouri-Kansas basketball game was this weekend, and while I don't care about basketball, I got thrown into the game because Mr. A was heckling the Missouri fans -- even though we are from Missouri and have no connection to Kansas. He just likes to piss people off.
In his words, "I like being a jackoff more than I like rooting for a team." Can you see why we are perfect for each other?
This weekend was pretty cold again, so I was forced to break out my Rebecca Taylor trench. Oh, darn.
Funny -- Every time I see my reflection while I wear this coat, I have to exclaim how awesome I look in it and how pimp this coat is. I like to say this over and over and over ...
While I am writing this post, Mr. A is watching "Too Cute Puppies" on Animal Planet. It's difficult to focus with all of the adorableness in front of me. They really are too cute.
The above picture is my favorite one of this shoot. It just looks super fun.
So many people were staring at us as they drove by. I'm sure they were wondering why there were two crazy people outside in 20-degree weather taking pictures on an empty sidewalk in the quietest part of the city. Or they were admiring my coat. It was probably the coat.
Coat: Rebecca Taylor
Boots: Franco Sarto
Leggings: Pure Sugar
Scarf: From Macy's

You look lovely dear :)

That is a pretty slick and sophisticated coat - especially paired with those gorgeous boots!
ReplyDeleteCourtney ~ http://sartorialsidelines.com
That coat is fabulous, they were definitely slowing down to look! I like steak too but I rarely eat it!!! I don't eat that much meat but I like it lots!
ReplyDeleteOoh, this is lovely! Everything works. No wonder people driving by turn and stare. :)
ReplyDeleteNice coat. It looks cold. I know that sounds weird but it really does.
ReplyDeleteXo
Your vegetarian friend
Love the coat! I could never be a vegetarian either.
ReplyDeleteI love your coat too! and the boots! I could never be a vegetarian either, I tried it once and it lasted a couple months. I don't eat a lot of meat, being that my sister is vegetarian and we cook a lot together, but I love chicken.
ReplyDeleteA big juicy steak and a great coat - what more could you ask for?
ReplyDeletewhat a lovely scarf!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteBonnie!! I love your coat ^___^
ReplyDeleteAnd awww, I don't think we can be friends
cuz I am more a veggie person haha :'D

xx
I couldn't be a veggie as I'm too forgetful!
ReplyDeleteThat coat is just gorgeous!
Steak and fashion usually don't go together, but they do on your blog, and that's why I love you haha. I'm the same way, I'm a shameless carnivore. ;)

ReplyDeletewww.wayoutsidelookingin.blogspot.com
I would imagine they were staring at the coat, because it's lovely :) I could never be a vegetarian but for me it's because of bacon sandwiches and sweet chili chicken! Can't handle steak, it makes me feel ill :'( I'm clearly not a true carnivore
ReplyDeleteI'm totally with you on the meat issue. Give me a steak nice and pink please! The coat is really cute and it looks very warm, but the boots may have been an attention getter too...love them! Stay warm and have a good week Bonnie.
ReplyDeleteCute shoot! I'm not crazy over meat, but I do enjoy it. I never want to be a vegetarian. Sonic and McDonalds would lose an active customer. :P (Well, that probably counts as "meat," but still. Gah. Don't want to think about it!)
ReplyDeleteI mean this in the best way- you look kind of gangster in these photos/ outfit (like the old style, classic gangster, not like compton...)

i LOVE that coat! and your scarf as well. your makeup is also done really well - it's really subtle and pretty on you.
ReplyDeletei could never give up meat either - i'm too weak! while i eat like a vegetarian often, i really enjoy french onion soup. probably 90 percent of the reason i couldn't give up meat is french onion soup, which is just beef broth really, but i love it so.

ReplyDeleteOh, it was definitely the coat they were staring at. And I, too, like me some meat. I'm a fan of chicken and bison, so good. And eggs are awesome, too, yeah. I could never give 'em up! Oh well. ;)
ReplyDeleteSo yeah, your coat is seriously beautiful. The buttons, the color, the legnth.. all so perfect for you!
Being a meat lover is a requirement in my family. Granted I don't rarely eat beef, but I love fresh salmon and chicken. I'm always getting stares when I take outside pictures. It's so uncommon where I live.
ReplyDeleteLoving the coat :)

I was a veg once during high school for about a year. But I am like you, I loved meat too much to quit it. Nowadays, a meal just doesn't feel like a meal if I don't have some meaty protein in it!
ReplyDeleteHOT DAMN. That coat is gorgeous. And I bet it keeps you incredibly warm too.
ReplyDeletevery cutee!! you look gorgeous :)
ReplyDeletexo,

Looking fab as always, love that coat and the boots! I love steak as well but generally order fish at restaurants...once you exceed 30 the metabolism doesn't really work the same.
ReplyDeleteIt was most definitely the coat (and your cute self) that they were staring at- I mean hello could you look any better (and those boots are rocking!) I love being vegetarian and probably couldn't eat a steak now, it would make me too sick but to each her own :)
ReplyDeleteThat coat is so incredible perfect!!! Very chic with the boots...you belong in a magazine I swear! I'm the same way...steak is my one weakness, otherwise I could be a vegetarian. I even had it for dinner tonight...filet mignon wrapped in bacon...as bad as that sounds. Gorgeous as always! xx Marisa
ReplyDeleteLove your coat and those shiny boots and most off all the attitude--so fun!

I love your coat! So fab! And I'm exactly like you (in every sense, but especially this one) in that I cannot be a vegetarian. I love meat. In fact, I don't even consider it a meal unless there is meat. Otherwise it's a snack. LOL!
ReplyDeleteThey must be staring at the coat and you! Gorge!
ReplyDeleteThose people were staring at the reflection of their car in your gorgeous boots! I love those! You know I'm a boot fiend! You don't have to steal mine; let's just trade for a day! That is a pretty rockin trench too. Hard to find one that isn't too "inspector gadget". I like the scarf as well. Of course you are beautiful and cute as always.
ReplyDeleteI'm ornery like Mr A > I used to root for a Nascar driver my ex-father-in-law hated just for that fact!
I used to HATE steak growing up. Now it's one of my favorite foods, yum!
ReplyDeleteI was definitely the coat! I don't eat steak but I love food. It's amazing how much a tiny person can actually eat! You look gorgeous Bonnie, that coat is a great investment.
