STL Riverfront Photo Shoot - Part 1

On Saturday, Mr. A and I embarked to downtown St. Louis for a photo shoot.
It was the wrong day for a photo shoot.
Cardinals' game.  Rams' game.  Tailgaters.  $30 parking.  Horse-drawn carriages. (Okay, that was pretty cool.) Taylor Swift concert.  Helicopters.  Pigeons.  Massive wind.
But the weather was nice.
Either way, we braved the crazies, found $10 parking in a garage on top of a hill, which meant that I had to walk down said ginormous hill in 4-inch heels, and got our photo shoot on.

This is the disgusting, totally typical St. Louis parking garage.

It was pretty cool to shoot by the Riverfront.  We were right next to the Mississippi River, and there were TONS of people walking around since it was such a nice day.  This meant that everyone stared at me like I was either a) a celebrity in the middle of a fashion editorial; or b) I was completely insane.  Either way, I was the center of attention.

This picture was really just for fun.

I really cannot decide which picture I like best out of these next two, so I am posting both of them, even though they are similar.  It's my blog.  Get over it.

I like this one because it shows the insane wind that we were dealing with.

  1. Love it! Nice work walking down the hill in those shoes by the way! That's quite a challenge! Downtown St. Louis definitely has a lot of cool places for a photo shoot. I like that wharf area with the brick roads. You should go there sometime!

  2. You're so cute! I get freaked out by people walking past when we're doing blog pictures and my bf always says 'you need to get used to this Helen!!' like I'm on next top model or something

  3. I love how bold you are! I'm all embarrassed when people catch me hamming it up for the camera. Especially if I'm all by myself and the camera is on the tripod. lol

You look gorgeous! And I love your pink & black heels!

  4. You're the coolest person I know. That is no exageration. You're gorgeous and I might just need to steal those shoes from you. Also I want to visit mississippi now!

  7. Great poses. And pretty shoes. How chic!

I wish I could take pictures out in public. If I tried, there'd be unpleasantness.

  9. Bonnie you look fabulous as per usual. I love your top. . .so you. I might just have to borrow it :) It looks like you had a lot of fun on your shoot with Mr. A. I need to find more time to do shoots other than around me house or just wherever I happen to be going. . .time is very limited right now.

  10. Way to go hot stuff - I love this (can I borrow your shoes sometime? Oh, and those shorts?).

  14. I actually really like the shot of the wind blowing your hair. Good job hiking in those shoes, they are super cute, but ouch ( makes me tootsies hurt just thinking about it).

This summer I'm really digging heels with shorts. I used to hate shorts, but now, less hate, more love.

Have a good week my dear!

  16. This is why I lurk here: you take a difficult location and turn it into a great shot (in reference to the last two shots).

I will say, however, that I kinda dig the dingy, dirty parking garage photo. It's the dirtiness that ironically makes the environment beautiful. Then again, maybe I'm into the whole dystopian thing when it comes to photography and art.

Great, now I'm starting to miss St. Louis, thanks a lot!

Anyway, you pick the coolest places for photoshoots. I'm so going to ask my boyfriend (ok, force) to do a photoshoot with me somewhere around Albuquerque.

  41. Nice photos! And you look so cute, too. I have had bad experiences with downtown photo shoots. In my opinion, they are full of awkwardness. Too much awkwardness for me to handle (and that's saying something). I tried to have one in downtown Minneapolis before a Twin's game once...ugh. The only solace I had was the fact that there was this other guy having a photoshoot, too. His model was a puddle. So I think I won out in that situation.

  42. Thanks for your sweet words today.

  43. Yay, Yay, Yay!!!! Loved the photoshoot. Has any one ever told you that you ressemble the model Coco Rocha? Because you do. And she makes thousands of dollars per shoot, so that means that you could to. But then you won't have time to blog and that would suck. So forget I mentioned anything. Thanks for the post :)
