It was the wrong day for a photo shoot.
Cardinals' game. Rams' game. Tailgaters. $30 parking. Horse-drawn carriages. (Okay, that was pretty cool.) Taylor Swift concert. Helicopters. Pigeons. Massive wind.
But the weather was nice.
Either way, we braved the crazies, found $10 parking in a garage on top of a hill, which meant that I had to walk down said ginormous hill in 4-inch heels, and got our photo shoot on.
This is the disgusting, totally typical St. Louis parking garage.
It was pretty cool to shoot by the Riverfront. We were right next to the Mississippi River, and there were TONS of people walking around since it was such a nice day. This meant that everyone stared at me like I was either a) a celebrity in the middle of a fashion editorial; or b) I was completely insane. Either way, I was the center of attention.
This picture was really just for fun.
I really cannot decide which picture I like best out of these next two, so I am posting both of them, even though they are similar. It's my blog. Get over it.
I like this one because it shows the insane wind that we were dealing with.

I try not to overload posts with a buttload of pictures, so check back for the next half -- or you could always check out Glam Kitten's Litter Box on Facebook and see the rest right now. (Shameless self-promotion.)
Love it! Nice work walking down the hill in those shoes by the way! That's quite a challenge! Downtown St. Louis definitely has a lot of cool places for a photo shoot. I like that wharf area with the brick roads. You should go there sometime!
ReplyDeleteYou're so cute! I get freaked out by people walking past when we're doing blog pictures and my bf always says 'you need to get used to this Helen!!' like I'm on next top model or something
ReplyDeleteI love how bold you are! I'm all embarrassed when people catch me hamming it up for the camera. Especially if I'm all by myself and the camera is on the tripod. lol
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous! And I love your pink & black heels!
You're the coolest person I know. That is no exageration. You're gorgeous and I might just need to steal those shoes from you. Also I want to visit mississippi now!

you are hysterical, LOVE your fierce poses. And, those shoes? Awesome.
ReplyDeleteLove your outfit, beautiful shoots!
ReplyDeleteGreat poses. And pretty shoes. How chic!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could take pictures out in public. If I tried, there'd be unpleasantness.
You look awesome! I bet you were working the crowd ;)... The setting for the photos is really cool, I like it! :) xx
ReplyDeleteBonnie you look fabulous as per usual. I love your top. . .so you. I might just have to borrow it :) It looks like you had a lot of fun on your shoot with Mr. A. I need to find more time to do shoots other than around me house or just wherever I happen to be going. . .time is very limited right now.
ReplyDeleteWay to go hot stuff - I love this (can I borrow your shoes sometime? Oh, and those shorts?).

This looks like a ton of fun- and I think next time you should grab some stray hot guys to use for "extras" haha
ReplyDeleteI really admire your confident while posing. Love the pink high heels, stylish :)

Rawr! You look so cool.
ReplyDeleteOoh love those windy pictures!
ReplyDeletep.s. Agreed - Wow to George Clooney. They should clone him.

I actually really like the shot of the wind blowing your hair. Good job hiking in those shoes, they are super cute, but ouch ( makes me tootsies hurt just thinking about it).
ReplyDeleteThis summer I'm really digging heels with shorts. I used to hate shorts, but now, less hate, more love.
Have a good week my dear!
Love it! Great photoshoot, you look amazing!
ReplyDeleteso cute! x hivenn
ReplyDeleteThis is why I lurk here: you take a difficult location and turn it into a great shot (in reference to the last two shots).
ReplyDeleteI will say, however, that I kinda dig the dingy, dirty parking garage photo. It's the dirtiness that ironically makes the environment beautiful. Then again, maybe I'm into the whole dystopian thing when it comes to photography and art.
Great, now I'm starting to miss St. Louis, thanks a lot!
Bonnie, you are a natural! And totally the center of attention!

ReplyDeleteThe third picture is definitely my favorite! It has such a great balance and your pose is very natural. Love the outfit.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, you pick the coolest places for photoshoots. I'm so going to ask my boyfriend (ok, force) to do a photoshoot with me somewhere around Albuquerque.

ReplyDeleteAmazing heels- you rocked this photoshoot! I love taking pics in parking lots because they're so grunge fabulous!
ReplyDeleteHey, you are a celebrity! I saw you on TV! Very cute pics..good thing you had on those cool shoes because you're so tiny you almost disappear in the cracks of those brick walls! I like the wind blown shot..very artsy!

You have some great poses! I like your headscarf- totally groovy! I'm liking seeing more of St Louis (definitely have a weird affection for it due to the show, so show us more of it!) And you are perfectly entitled to show a million shots of your outfits- it's your blog as you say (and I like seeing different shots of an outfit!!)

Nice photos! And you look so cute, too. I have had bad experiences with downtown photo shoots. In my opinion, they are full of awkwardness. Too much awkwardness for me to handle (and that's saying something). I tried to have one in downtown Minneapolis before a Twin's game once...ugh. The only solace I had was the fact that there was this other guy having a photoshoot, too. His model was a puddle. So I think I won out in that situation.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your sweet words today.
ReplyDeleteWhy have I never been by your blog? I love it.
Your photo shoot is fantastic.
xxO
Yay, Yay, Yay!!!! Loved the photoshoot. Has any one ever told you that you ressemble the model Coco Rocha? Because you do. And she makes thousands of dollars per shoot, so that means that you could to. But then you won't have time to blog and that would suck. So forget I mentioned anything. Thanks for the post :)
ReplyDeletelove it!! and those shoes! love them, made your cute casual outfit tres chic :)
ReplyDeletemy favorite pic is the second to last, beautiful.

Pigeons.... I'm a little bit scared of pigeons. Just like Phoebe from Friends. I always remember what she told Chandler about the pigeon (it was the lottery episode): "By the way, she (the psychic) told me that's how I will die..." ;)
