I believe the title says it all.
Josyp from My Pretty-Pink Journal awarded me my first Versatile Blogger award.
Holy crap, dude, omg, seriously? For real.
This means ... Yeah ... Seven more facts about me.
I'm sorry for inflicting so much me time on you guys two days in a row.
The fashion crap will return on Friday. I promise.
1. In the seventh grade, I began growing uber-long, talon-like fingernails. They were longer than most fake nails. I would grow them to the point of beginning to curl, and then I would trim them. The best part was that I played competitive volleyball for two years with them and never broke one.
2. My nails are now normal length. They are more functional this way.
3. Last semester, I had a total meltdown every weekend about personal identity. I had a plan of what I wanted to do with my life after graduating with my Masters. That plan was shot to Hell once some truths about the world were revealed to me. After that, I bounced from plan to plan until I settled on my current plan -- I have something of a plan, but mostly I am juuuuust going with the flow. If there is anything that grad school has taught me thus far, it is to be flexible.
4. I always wear a sterling silver Tiffany & Co. ring on my right index finger. I bought it after my final liver surgery in September 2008. I have worn it every day since then.
5. I love hockey. I can't stand baseball. I have learned to tolerate football. But I LOVE hockey.
6. Pictures are the photo journals of my life. I would be completely empty without my pictures.
7. Every single day, I still think about my grandfather. I miss him way more than anybody could ever know. <3 Below is a picture of me and my grandpa on the day of my college graduation this past August.
R.I.P.
And to lighten the mood, here is a video of me.
I discovered iMovie.
And here is a video of me with Mr. A.
I'm awkward even in uber-edited videos.
Awesome.
P.S. I will be live blogging/Tweeting for the Oscars this weekend. GET STOKED, PEOPLE.

haha the video is cute. and your grandfather seems like he was a wonderful person!! i think going with the flow is a great idea (:
ReplyDeletehaha p.s. your last comment on my blog about thrifting was soo funny. i can't believe you think there will be spiders in the clothes! haha. it really made me laugh
It's interesting how much you learn about someone from seeing them move (in a video) compared to a static image (photos). You instantly pick up on various cues and often have a visceral reaction (good or bad).
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing you in this.
congrats!

Ah the grad school identity crisis meltdown - you wouldn't really be a proper grad student without having one of those every so often.
